Review: Glade 'Spring Showers' Candle

I usually do make up reviews but I wanted to share
my thoughts on this candle I bought for my room.
The price was about 4 dollars at my Target, but i'm guessing
it varies based on where you are.

Working for a coffee shop, my room starts to smell a lot
like espresso as my laundry begins to pile up! I know
it doesn't sound that bad, but once you're over
the smell of coffee, you are reeeeally over it.
That's why I like to have some scent product in my room
so that when I come home at the end of the day i'm not
assaulted by coffee smell.
Instead, this candle gives off a nice aroma of sweet citrus
(it says pink grapefruit on the website, but the smell is a bit
more generic than that) and has very nice throw.
The other thing I like about using candles is that it's very
relaxing for me to keep one burning at night. In fact,
as I write this review I have about an inch left of this candle
before I need to get another one!
Overall, I really liked this scent, it has good lingering power,
good throw, however I wish the candle itself lasted longer
(but it IS only $4 right?) and I enjoy using it.

Test Run: Milani Ultrafine Liquid Liner in Black Gems

When some plans fell through for my weekend I decided
to do what any make up obsessed college student would:
Drugstore make up haul!
One of the things I wanted to pick up was a liquid
liner to replace my Kat Von D tattoo liner (it recently
ran out) so I settled on Milani's version. I thought
it would be a felt pen like the KVD one, but it turned
out to be a much more traditional style. I'll do a full
review later this week as I get time to put it through
it's trials. Onto the make up look I did with it!

April Empties Reviews: Hair

This post is part of my reviews
of my april empties.
i'll go over the hair products first...

Pantene's Volume Collection:

Disappointment. That's all I have to say. Yes,
the shampoo made my hair clean, and my hair
(which is usually soft) was soft after the conditioner
but did I experience lifted roots, or thicker feeling hair?
No. Not at all. It smells alright, but I had high hopes
that this might give me the effect I wanted. But alas,
It was not meant to be. My search for the perfect
shampoo/conditioner continues.

Herbal Essences Tousle Me Softly Mouuse:

The first thing you'll notice with this is much like
any other Herbal Essences product- "HOLY CRAP
My hair smells A-MAZING!!!" I can't stress that
enough. The violet smell is gorgeous and I can't
get enough. As far as performance, I'll be honest,
It's not earth-shattering. It's an okay hair product.
It does what it says, helps make my hair look more
healthy when I blow dry it, and it does give light
hold to when I make my hair pin-straight.
However, I don't think this works well as a heat
protectant as I continue to notice split ends
so I'll try something else and let you guys
know my luck!

April Empties Review: Perfume/Body Care

My second set of reviews for my April Empties
will cover the lotion and perfume sample
I finished this month.

First up is the lotion component
of the 'Sleep' Bath and Body Works
Aromatherapy Set in the scent
Honey Vanilla. The biggest reason
I finished this lotion so quickly was the
relatively small size of the bottle: the
portability of this made it great for
my breaks at work to alleviate my
perpetually dry hands. The formula
of this lotion was light but it did hydrate
my hands well and prevented them from being
uncomfortably dry from my job.
I won't repurchase this now, as I would wait
for another sale to get a similar set like
this but I am impressed with the formula
on this, so if you struggle with dry hands
like myself you might want to check this
out.

The last empties review is of the sample
I received with a Sephora order of
'La Vie Est Belle' perfume by Lancome.
This is a light and fresh perfume that
does go with the name of 'Life is
Beautiful' but I have so much perfume
sitting in my cabinet right now that I simply
can't justify purchasing such an expensive
perfume like this.

April Empties Reviews: Lips

It is so rare that I actually finish a lip product
that for me to finish two Stila Lip Glazes
in one month say something about the quality
of these lip products.

Onto the review!

The first one I finished was in the shade
"Starfruit". This is one of the best
'MLBB' shades that I have, it gives a
very subtle rosy tint to the lips and gives fair
skin a healthier appearance.
When I tried to "click" the applicator
and no product went up to the brush I nearly
cried. Admittedly, I was feeling a bit emotional
that day, but this has been my go to lip product
for lazy days when I don't want to worry
about wether or not the shade coordinates
well with the eye look.
Also, now that Ulta has these lip glazes for
$8 each, I will definitely be purchasing
this on my next trip!
REPURCHASING

The second finished shade was "Guava"
and the color is pretty similar to the
other shade here, but a more satin
finish. This one was great for darker
eye looks that I would do, and
also worked nicely for work and school.
I think i'll purchase a "make your own"
trio at Ulta for this and Starfruit because
this was another great 'lazy day' shade.
REPURCHASING

I definitely recommend these shades of the Stila
Lip Glaze, especially at the affordable price
that Ulta is offering them for. They give
great conditioning to your lips and have great
lasting power. What are you waiting for?
Go to Ulta and get them!

FOTD 5-6-13 Using Kat Von D Tattoo Chronicles

I only used my Kat Von D Palette for this
eye look! Again, i'm trying to get away from a
constant stream of neutral looks that's become
my blog! So this is what I came up with. If
you'd like to find out how I did it, follow the jump!
